Expand your Reach with Press Coverage

Published 6/8/23

Have something new and exciting you want to share with your customers? Consider a press release. Here are a few instances in which you may want to consider a press release:

  • You’re newly live with InvoiceCloud and are looking to broadly announce the new service to customers
  • You’ve added new payment options or features
  • You’re running a marketing incentive campaign such as a sweepstakes
  • Your organization has made other changes such as a new partnership or a rebrand

How to Write and Release a Press Release

Regardless of the subject, your press release should always contain a straightforward headline followed by a few paragraphs that explain the announcement and how it affects your customers. Keep your press release brief, aiming for approximately one page. As many readers don’t read the entirety of a press release, be sure to include the most important and relevant information in the first paragraph. Once you’ve crafted your press release, it’s time to publish. Send your release to your local media outlets, specifically any of those who may have covered your organization or industry in the past. Now is a great time to leverage any existing media connections you or your colleagues may have in your area. We also recommend publishing your press release to your website and your social media pages for additional exposure.

If you’d like some assistance publishing your press release, consider using a press release distribution service.
