Flex-Pay takes self-service to a new level
Boston – Invoice Cloud announces IC Flex-Pay, a self-service payment plan tool that simplifies payment collection for municipalities by providing Customers with the ability to create their own budgeted payment plan, without staff intervention. The tool was developed after a request by Invoice Cloud Client, Marion County, IN (Indianapolis) to support their taxpayer’s desire to create their own flexible payment plans. Marion County issues property tax bills annually, with two coupons, the first due within approximately 30 days of issue and the second installment due approximately six months later. Taxpayers asked Marion County Treasury staff if there were easy to use methods to create budgeted payments in advance of the second installment and Marion County staff asked Invoice Cloud if it could be done. Called “Flex-Pay” the service became available in May, 2013 and was met with immediate success with several thousands of Flex payments made in the first year.
